The United Kennel Club is one of the oldest breed registries
in the United States. I have found them to be very user-friendly and helpful, particularly when dealing with registrations
from various countries.
I also especially like that their shows focus on the performance of the
dog with respect to the original purpose of the breed and that all dogs must be shown by their owners. This allows the
average owner to get involved in showing without being intimidated by professional handlers.
